I'm Going To Change Things Slightly..
Recently, one of my French teachers recommended Jacques Brel to me. One song in particular you may already know "Amsterdam" as David Bowie released "In the Port of Amsterdam" (which is a cover). The passion that the Belgian has when he sings is incredible:
I have also "discovered" another French singer known as Khaled. This is the Algerian king of Rai (hes a mixture of Uncle Joe and (dare I say it..) Borat.
currently listening to - Khaled - Aicha

SORRY
Right, Ok. Well it has been a long time, to be honest I just completely forgot I had this blog. Anyway, a lot has happened to me this past half year or so, but as this was supposed to be primarily a music blog, music is what I shall discuss.
My music taste has grown rapidly quite recently, mainly thanks to a friend of mine. He "introduced" me to Daft Punk and their offspring. Primarily the French based duo Justice and the German artist known as Boys Noize. He has pretty much indoctrinated me in to this style of music to which originally i knew nothing about. I recommend Justice's "†" and Boys Noize's "Oi Oi Oi" and more recently his "Bugged Out!" The latter being a great remix album including remixes of Soundhack, SebastiAn and Surkin.
Also recommended:
- Streetlife DJs (who have a free podcast from iTunes "The Official Streetlife DJs Podcast"
- Anything from Ed Banger and his record label (especially his mix albums Ed Rec Vol. 1 and 2) + Ed Banger Records Podcast (iTunes)
- Freedom Record Podacst (iTunes)
- Soulwax
Finally, Get Loaded in the Park. Get in. http://www.getloadedinthepark.com/

Jack Peñate
Jack Peñate is a legend.. great song writer (me thinks) and great performer (fo' sho').
Tonight was the third time i had seen him and the second time this week. Brilliant both times (but first, at Banquet Records in k-town, was better - due to sound difficulties in HMV today and Banquet Records also was more 'intimate')
What to listen to:
>"Spit At Stars"
>"Torn On The Platform"
>"Second, Minute And Hour"
>"Got My Favourite"
currently listening to - Dirty Pretty Things - The Gentry Cove
